Turkish construction equipment business Cukurova was established in 1968. Tarsus, the Turkey, serves as the company’s corporate headquarters.

The manufacture of agricultural machinery was started in 1968 thanks to a licensing arrangement with John Deere; throughout 18 years, Cukurova Makina produced 26,259 units.

Using its license and the trademark CUKUROVA, the business began producing industrial and earthmoving machinery in 1986.

There are three different types of backhoe loaders available:

• The operating weight of Cukurova 888 is 8.7 tons.
• Cukurova 880, operating weight of 7.1 tons with an engine rated at 85 horsepower;
• Cukurova 883 (885 modifications), operating weight 8.1 tons with a 100hp engine with a crab stroke and equal-sized wheels. This universal device features a 100-horsepower engine.

A telescoping boom and a large jaw bucket are standard on CUKUROVA backhoe loaders of the variants mentioned above (1.1 m3). In addition, there is hydraulic pipework for several hydraulic attachments, including a vibrator, hydraulic hammer, and drill. Backhoe buckets with a width of 400 to 800 mm are also available.

Water-cooled Perkins 1104-44T diesel engine with Stagell ecological generator. The machine has 4.4 liters of displacement and 100 horsepower. The overload torque capability is 412 Nm, and the rotating speed is 2200.

This universal technology uses a hydromechanical complete zero frequency (ZF) gearbox, rear and front ZF axles, all-wheel drive suspension, and electro-hydraulics with 100% blocking on the rear axle. The front axle is affected by the limited-slip differential.

A twin-type gear pump, a mechanical reverse shovel control system, and a loader with a cylindrical spool make up the hydraulic system of the CUKUROVA excavator. The hydraulic system also features transmission and hydraulic cooling, a full-flow filter on the return line with an integrated fine cleaning area, and safety stabilizer valves.

The multi-disc brakes on Cukurova backhoe loaders include internal liquid cooling. The hydraulic foot brake, operated by two pedals, applies pressure to the back axle. Disc parking calipers, operated by a push-pull cable, make up the brake system.

A hydrostatic system serves as the steering system. The load affects the braking mechanism’s pressure control system.

The Cukurova excavator’s cab is a covered structure. It offers good protection if material flies out of the working section. The cab’s controls are designed using contemporary technology and have front and side panels. There is also an auditory warning that signals a problem. The view from the cockpit is quite handy and is seen via tinted safety glass.
