Detroit Diesel Series 50

The engine of the 50 series is a series of 4-cylinder diesel engines. It has been produced since 1993. Series 50 was developed by Detroit Diesel based on the existing six-cylinder engine Detroit Diesel Series 60. Detroit Diesel 50 engines are prevalent in North America as bus engines. They are also installed on trucks, construction, and industrial equipment. In 2000, the machine was equipped with a recirculation system for exhaust gases (EGR) and a new turbocharger with variable geometry to meet the norms of exhaust toxicity.
