MID 140 PID 96

Parameter:

Fuel level sensor

Fault:

FMI 5   Resistance on contacts B3 and A12 of the instrument panel from the sensor in the tank is more than 1 kΩ. Broken signal or negative wire, oxidation or damage to the contacts in the connectors. Thesensor may be faulty.

FMI 6   Resistance on contacts B3 and A12 of the instrument panel from the sensor in the tank is more than 20 Ohms. The signal wire is shorted to ground or the sensor is faulty.

MID 140 PID 114

Parameter:

Ammeter

Fault:

FMI 3   The signal wire is shorted to a higher voltage or the sensor is faulty. The sensor is located in the battery box.

FMI 4   An open or short to ground for the signal wire. The sensor may be faulty.

MID 140 PID 117

Parameter:

Front air pressure sensor

Fault:

FMI 3   Broken negative wire or short circuit of the signal wire to a wire with a higher voltage. Sensor B152 may be faulty. The sensor is located to the left of the grille under the fairing on the driver’s side.

FMI 4   An open wire to the power supply, a sensor signal, a short to ground in the signal signal, oxidation or damage to the contacts in the connectors.

MID 140 PID 118

Parameter:

Rear air pressure sensor

Fault:

FMI 3   Broken negative wire or short circuit of the signal wire to a wire with a higher voltage. Sensor B153 may be faulty. The sensor is located to the left of the grille under the fairing on the driver’s side.

FMI 4   An open wire to the power supply, a sensor signal, a short to ground in the signal signal, oxidation or damage to the contacts in the connectors.

MID 140 PID 158

Parameter:

Battery voltage

Fault:

FMI 3   Battery voltage is higher than 31 V. A device for starting is connected, a generator or a battery is faulty.

FMI 4   Voltage below 8 V. or voltage when the engine is running below 24 V. more than 250 seconds. Faulty generator or battery.

MID 140 PID 171

Parameter:

Outdoor temperature sensor

Fault:

FMI 5   Resistance on contacts B9 and A12 of the dashboard unit from the sensor is more than 25 kΩ. Break signal or negative wire. Oxidation or damage to contacts in connectors. Faulty sensor or outside air temperature below 50 degrees. The sensor is located under the lower step on the passenger side.

FMI 6   Resistance on contacts B9 and A12 of the instrument panel from the sensor is less than 25 kΩ. The signal wire is shorted to ground, the sensor is faulty, or the outside air temperature is above 90 degrees.

MID 140 PID 177

Parameter:

Transmission oil temperature sensor

Fault:

FMI 5   Resistance on contacts B12 and A12 of the dashboard unit from the sensor is more than 5 kΩ. Break signal or negative wire. Oxidation or damage to contacts in connectors. Faulty sensor.

FMI 6   Resistance on contacts B12 and A12 of the instrument panel from the sensor is less than 10 kΩ. Short to signal ground or defective sensor. The oil temperature in the gearbox is very high.

Parameter:

The current date

Fault:

FMI 9   The date or time data sent by the vehicle control unit or tachograph unit over the data channel is incorrect or missing. Malfunction in the data channel or damaged contacts in the connectors.

MID 140 SID 231

Parameter:

SAE J1939 data feed

Fault:

FMI 2   Communication over the SAE J1939 data channel between the dashboard control unit and other units is missing. Broken data channel. A closure in the wiring between the blocks.

MID 140 SID 240

Parameter:

Program memory

Fault:

FMI 2   Malfunction in the software. Possible instrument panel malfunction.

MID 140 SID 250

Parameter:

SAE J1708 data feed

Fault:

FMI 12   One of the control units is in programming mode or the other control unit is faulty. Check for other fault codes. Check the health of other units.

Parameter:

Gauge memory, EEPROM

Fault:

FMI 2   A programming error or malfunction in the memory circuit. The reaction is not predictable.

MID 140 PPID 20

Parameter:

Brake pad wear sensors (FL, FE)

Fault:

FMI 0   Open circuit between the brake pad wear sensors and the dashboard block contact C28. Worn pads on one of the wheels, faulty wiring.

MID 140 PSID 5

Parameter:

Overheating instrument panel

Fault:

FMI 0   A thermometer built into the dashboard records the temperature above 90 degrees. Air ducts of the cabin heater are faulty, external influence (for example, sun rays on the instrument panel).

MID 140 PSID 7

Parameter:

Reference resistance

Fault:

FMI 3   The dashboard unit registers resistance below 22.5 ohms. Malfunctioning dashboard equipment, malfunctioning fuel level sensor or environmental sensor. Fault in the wiring between the dashboard and sensors.

FMI 4   The dashboard unit registers resistance below 22.5 ohms. Malfunctioning dashboard equipment, malfunctioning fuel level sensor or environmental sensor. Fault in the wiring between the dashboard and sensors.

MID 140 PSID 8

Parameter:

Ammeter power supply

Fault:

FMI 3   The dashboard unit detects high voltage or non-power short. Faulty dashboard.

FMI 6   The dashboard unit registers a short to ground. Faulty dashboard.

MID 140 PSID 9

Parameter:

Parking Heater Control Signal

Fault:

FMI 3   A short to a higher voltage or a broken connection wire between the dashboard unit and the heater unit . Also make sure that the coolant temperature is below 78 degrees and the engine speed does not exceed 300 rpm.

FMI 6   There is no contact with the data connection, the connection is broken, or there is a fault in the communication circuit in the control unit.

“YES” button on the steering wheel

Fault:

FMI 12   The button is pressed for more than one minute or the button is faulty.

Fault:

Parameter:

Power supply of the “YES, NO, plus, minus” buttons on the steering wheel

Fault:

FMI 3   The voltage at the output of the dashboard unit to the button block above 14 V is more than 5 seconds. A short to a higher voltage wire between the dashboard unit and the button unit.

FMI 5   Broken wire between the dashboard unit and the button unit.

FMI 6   The voltage at the output of the dashboard unit per button block is less than 1 V for more than 5 seconds. A short to ground between the dashboard and button block.

MID 140 PSID 46

Parameter:

Data channel block buttons “YES, NO, plus, minus” on the steering wheel

Fault:

FMI 9   The dashboard unit does not receive a signal from a button unit for more than 30 seconds, or the signal received from a button unit is unreliable. Breakage or partial damage to the data channel wiring between the dashboard unit and the button unit.

Fault:

FMI 12   The button is pressed for more than one minute or the button is faulty.
