For a long time, the Kenworth T300 family of trucks held the lead in the medium-duty truck sector, completely replacing the K300 series models with a cab above the engine.

The machines went on sale in 1994. The Kenworth T300 includes high maneuverability, good visibility due to the shape of a short sloping hood and a large glass area, and ease of control.

The Kenworth T300 range of multi-purpose bonneted vehicles is now divided into classes 6 and 7.

In general, these series include delivery trucks 4×2 / 6×4 with a gross weight of 11.2 – 24.5 tons for work in cities and on short hauls, chassis for installing bodies and various equipment, as well as truck tractors operating as part of road trains with a gross weight of up to 33 tons.

Cummins B and C series 6-cylinder diesel engines with a displacement of 5.9 and 8.3 liters are standard. 190 – 300 hp As an alternative, Caterpillar 3116 engines are installed, developing 200 – 250 hp.

Since 2006, they have been using mainly diesel engines PACCAR РХ-6 (6.7 liters, 200 – 325 hp) and PX-8 (8.3 liters, 240 – 330 hp) with 4- valves per cylinder, variable geometry turbocharging, and a standard rail system.

Four 6-speed and one 9-speed Eaton Fuller transmission are offered. Drive axles – Eaton with different gear ratios. In addition to springs, the rear axles are equipped with Hendrikson air suspension.

Wheel disks – steel or aluminum. The wheelbase is from 3683 to 7112 mm. The total mass of a single Kenworth T300 truck is 11.8 – 23.6 tons. For a road train consisting of a three-axle truck tractor and a two-axle semi-trailer, this value reaches 29.5 tons.
