Reading flashing trouble codes
The fault code consists of two flashing groups: the first flashing group displays the faulty component and the type of malfunction, the second flashing group displays the fault location. The interval between the two flashing groups is 1.5 seconds. After the ignition switch is turned on, press the fault finding flasher switch and hold for 1 second when the ABS fault indicator lights up and is not extinguished, then observe the number of flashes of the malfunction indicator. In the event of two or more types of ABS faults, the ABS fault indicator displays the trouble codes of the second flashing group 4 seconds after the fault codes of the first flashing group are completed, displays all flashing codes in the same way.
Press the diagnostic button for flashing DTCs (hold for 1 second), if the flashing DTCs are repeatedly displayed (the indicator is extinguished only after the ignition switch is turned off), this indicates a malfunction or a number of faults, and should be repaired, this fault is referred to as a “current fault”. The indicator can display fault codes in a different way, ie, only one fault code is displayed once, then the signal lamp is extinguished, this fault is called a “stored fault” signal.
The “stored faults” are divided into two types: one of them – the fault has been eliminated, but the fault code has not been eliminated from the ECU memory, the other one is a malfunction has appeared, but at the current time there is no malfunction, for example, an unreliable wire contact appeared at the current time there is no malfunction. In this regard, the stored faults only relate to the resulting faults, there is no practical significance of the repair. In this regard, every time after the repair is complete, remove the fault codes from the memory.
Deleting fault codes
Press the diagnostic button for flashing DTCs, hold it for 3 seconds, then release. If the fault indicator flashes rapidly 8 times, then flashes 2 times, this means a complete deletion of the DTC from the memory, no current malfunction. If the fault indicator does not blink 8 times and only blinks 2 times, this indicates a current fault in the ABS, repairs should be carried out.
