Freightliner Coronado
The Freightliner Coronado is the perfect truck in every way. Looking at this truck, you can understand that this is not just a transport for transporting goods, this is the second home for the driver. Why he is so dearly loved by American truckers – you will find out further.
Design
In terms of design – a classic of the American tractor genre. There is an abundance of chrome wherever possible: chrome bumper, headlight trim, huge square grille, mirrors, mufflers, fuel tanks, side molding and wheels. The long hood is made of fiberglass, as its dimensions are too large.
The headlights are mounted on wide wheel arches.
This truck contains all the embodiment of the style of American tractors, as well as the inspiration of the designers.
It is noteworthy that the Coronado windshield consists of two parts, which allows you to save money in case of glass replacement. The front fenders are not integral with the hood and can also be replaced separately. Thanks to the long hood, which can be opened wide to access the engine, repairs and maintenance can be carried out comfortably.
The side-mounted 600-litre fuel tanks are a signature feature, as fuel is siphoned out of them in parallel to avoid tilting the body when one of the tanks is empty. Near the tanks there are steps, and above them there is an additional compartment for things.
According to some external signs, it can already be understood that the truck is aimed at minimal costs in the case of body repairs. Let’s look at the most interesting part.
Freightliner Coronado Cabin saloon
The driver’s seat, however, like the entire cabin – the standard of luxury. The instrument panel is curved, all indicators, control keys are in an accessible place. The panel is framed with high-quality woodgrain inserts. The steering wheel is 3-spoke, also has wood inserts. Conveniently located under the right hand, the control unit for the heater and air conditioner, as well as the radio. A little lower are two cup holders and an ashtray with a cigarette lighter.
The driver’s seat is our own design, where it lends itself to all sorts of adjustments, up to changing the length of the seat.
The air conditioning system and the heater cope with their duties in the shortest possible time.
Freightliner Coronado sleeper is the pride of the truck. The cabin has everything:
- luxurious bed in two tiers;
- all kinds of niches;
- fridge;
- luggage compartment under the bottom bed;
- TV, etc.
By the way, driver and passenger airbags are installed in the cockpit, and side airbags could be installed for a fee.

For example, headlights with extended life lenses and a polymer reflector. The distribution block is located in an easily accessible place, which allows you to quickly change a blown fuse or relay.
