Genie has developed a variety of electric lift types, grouping them together as the E-drive series. The prototypes proved to be effective, with high-quality technological characteristics that provide safe and pleasant working conditions at great heights. Electric scissor lifts save time and money on repairs and building projects since they need no fuel and have little or no maintenance expenses. Motors that need a little amount of energy to operate are both long-lasting and inexpensive.
Technical features of the Genie E-drive lift series
Genie designers have developed new models that are superior in every way to similar-purpose equipment supplied by other manufacturers, taking into consideration the experience of running earlier generations of lifts. Particularly, owing to a well-considered design, simple access to all nodes, and an expanded supply of nodes, the maintenance cost of electric lifters is 35% lower. When compared to earlier versions, this one has a 70% reduction in the number of hydraulic connections and a 60% reduction in the length of lines.
Improved driving characteristics mean that a self-propelled lift can now scale 14-degree inclines, a significant improvement over its prior capabilities by 25%. Increased battery life by 30% is thanks to the efficient operation of the engines and hydraulics.
Innovations in technology were included in the lift’s design to boost its efficiency:
- AC electric motors on the front wheels;
- tires of increased wear resistance;
- grooves for the forks of the loader on four sides;
- brakes of double action with the electric drive.
The safety of workers in elevated positions is a priority. The diamond-shaped notch in the sheet that makes up the platform’s floor is what prevents people from sliding. Therefore a rubber or other anti-slip coating is unnecessary. The platform lift is equipped with a loading sensor, and the design includes a mode switch for indoor and outdoor use.
When it comes to working in damp environments, outside in the rain, or when driving on wet roads, Genie GS lifts are perfectly safe thanks to their brushless motors with an IP65 classification. The lift’s engines are intended to function reliably during their entire service lives, with no servicing required. In most cases, the lifespan of a power line is estimated at ten years. AC motors, as found in GS lifts, are more dependable and efficient than DC motors or hydraulic motors, which are found in other types.
GS model line
Genie has released 11 different versions, ranging from 3 to 18 meters in terms of lift height. Hydraulic controls are standard on the GS 1530, 1532, 1930, 1932, 2032, and 2632, although electric motors are also available as an upgrade. E-drive is standard on all other variants. It is expected that all future models, even hydraulic ones, would come standard with E-drive, although the switch to electric traction will not happen overnight.
Depending on the model, the machines can lift anywhere from 220-999 kg, giving you plenty of flexibility when deciding which tool to use for a given task. The maximum length of the apparatus is 3.4 meters, while the shortest is 1.8 meters; the breadth begins at 81 centimeters. These proportions make it possible to drive through standard-width factory gates and doors, load lifts onto trailers, and transport them in passenger vans.
Different lift types may have varying driving performances based on the kind of drive that is fitted. Vehicles may have either front-wheel drive (2WD) or all-wheel drive (4WD) (with a diesel engine). GS-1432m E-Drive
The space-saving elevator is designed for use in confined spaces and on the go when space is at a premium. The machine’s entirely electric motor, excellent mobility, and simple operation make it vital for maintenance and installation work at heights up to 6.7 m. The small size of 1.3×0.81m does not compromise the structure’s steadiness. You can safely hoist 227 kilograms of stuff because of the lift’s low center of gravity, which is just 900 kilograms.
Models GS-1930 and GS-1930 E-Drive
The manufacturer creates both electric (E-Drive) and hydraulically driven variants of these sorts of elevators. Due to their unique chassis design, compact machines may only be used on smooth, hard surfaces like factory floors, asphalt, concrete, paving slabs, etc. The lift weighs about 1.5 tons, which is evident despite its small size (1.83 x 0.76 m). The platform may be raised to a height of almost 8 m with a maximum load of 227 kg (with the weight centered at the bottom).
Scissor lifts GS-1932 and GS-1932 E-Drive
The GS-1932 lift comes in two different types, one with an electric drive and another with a hydraulic drive. They are almost identical in towing capacity and running expenses, but the E-Drive system is more advanced, and the company plans to convert all cars to electricity in the near future. In light of the Genie brand’s reputation for durability, the consumer may expect to save a considerable sum throughout the course of the product’s useful life.
GS-1932m E-Drive Lifts
The equipment is unique from other companies in that it only uses AC motors rather than DC ones. GS-2032 and GS-2032 E-Drive
With lifts that allow for a working height of 7.9 m and a load capacity of up to 363 kg, a team of 2 persons can get the job done. The machine’s compact size (2.44×0.81 m) makes it ideal for usage in factories, building sites, and other locations with permanently installed machinery. All outside activities must take place on paved surfaces. Hydraulic and electrically powered hoists are mass-produced.
Heavy Duty Lift
Assemblers working at heights of up to 16 meters may benefit from using the GS-4655 E-Drive model. The maximum load for the platform is 350 kg, which includes both people and equipment. However, the machine is rather compact at only 3.14 x 1.4 m in size. However, the lift’s 3.6-ton weight necessitates that it be operated on a level, solid surface that can support its weight. The GS-4655 elevator is built only with electric propulsion by the manufacturer. The GS-4069 DC lift, built on an off-road chassis, was designed for use in harsh weather and on unimproved terrain.
